Tasting Notes
So silky it purrs. So structured it roars. Aux Réas in all its glory. Top-tier Vosne-Romanée, followed by collectors. Here for you

Vosne in a Velvet Suit. Sultry, Spicy, and Seriously Built.
This isn’t your soft-focus Vosne. Aux Réas 2023 has perfume and finesse, yes — but it also brings brooding depth and a firm handshake. Black cherry, violet and smoky clove rise from the glass, with toasted spice swirling through a structured, layered palate. There's real grip here, built on limestone soil and serious intent. The fruit is lush but never loose. It’s a wine that tightens its hold the longer you spend with it. We were hooked.

The Plot
The domaine holds 1.6 hectares in Aux Réas, with 1.1 currently in production following a replanting in 2023 (the remainder was pulled out due to a rootstock issue). The vineyard borders Premier Cru Clos des Réas and sits near the Nuits-Saint-Georges boundary. With limestone-rich soils and a slightly cooler aspect, it gives a more savoury, spicy take on Vosne — less gloss, more grip.
Technical Details
This cuvée was fermented with around 50% whole bunches for added lift and structure. Ageing took place in a 50/50 split of ceramic and oak barrels, with no more than 20% new oak. The use of ceramic helps retain purity and aromatic finesse, while oak adds structure and depth. A beautifully poised Vosne with a firm spine and real ageing potential.

Discover Their Story
A.F. Gros is where two great Burgundy families, Gros and Parent come together.
Now led by siblings Caroline and Mathias Parent, this next-gen duo brings fresh energy to a legacy of precision.
From Bourgogne to Richebourg, every wine gets the same care: whole bunch ferments, ceramic ageing, and a quiet radicalism behind the classic style.
Our Take
“Vosne in a Velvet Suit. Sultry, Spicy, and Seriously Built.”
I first tasted this cuvée as a 2014, fourteen years old and still strutting. The fruit had incredible weight and density, yet the texture was pure silk: black cherry laced with spice, and that trademark peppery kick still dancing. The 2023 already shows that same DNA — poised, powerful, and built to go the distance.
