Fourrier’s Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru ‘Cherbaudes’ 2024 comes from one of Gevrey’s most enviable addresses, bordered on three sides by Grand Cru vineyards including Chapelle-Chambertin, Clos de Bèze and Mazis-Chambertin.From vines planted in 1940, this is Cherbaudes in its most graceful, seductive form: fine, silky, beautifully perfumed and full of pomegranate, redcurrant, cool red fruit, liquorice and earth. There is density here, but not force. It glides rather than pushes.

Drawn exclusively from the Côte de Nuits, with fruit from Gevrey-Chambertin, Fixin and Nuits-Saint-Georges, this is Bourgogne Rouge with proper pedigree.It is bright, silky and lifted, full of red cherry, wild strawberry, crushed raspberry and rose petal, with fine tannins, fresh acidity and a little savoury Côte de Nuits grip. The 2024 is concentrated without heaviness, with strawberry, raspberry and ripe cherry moving into darker berries, fine tannins, crisp acidity and a mineral line that keeps everything shimmering.
