Beautifully perfumed and finely structured, with pure red fruit, refined tannins and bright, perfectly judged acidity. A more complete and serious expression of an already exceptional vintage, available exclusively from Burgundy Wine Club in the UK.

Tasting Notes
A special 24-month release of Pierrick Bouley’s perfumed, finely structured 2023 Volnay.

Pierrick’s Volnay, given another year to become something even greater.
The standard 2023 Volnay was bottled and released as normal. This small parcel remained in Pierrick’s cellar for another full year, taking the total élevage to 24 months.
That additional time has brought greater harmony, texture and persistence to a wine already defined by its extraordinary perfume. Red cherry, raspberry and lifted violet lead into a silky, beautifully balanced palate, where the fruit, acidity and refined tannins feel completely woven together.
Inside Burgundy scored the original 2023 90–93 points, praising its exquisite bouquet, fine balance and properly persistent finish. This special release takes that same wine and gives it another year to settle, deepen and become even more complete.
Exclusive to Burgundy Wine Club in the UK.

The Plot
This is Pierrick’s regular Volnay blend, bringing together fruit from across his village parcels.
Rather than emphasising one individual vineyard, the wine captures the broader character of Volnay: perfume, finesse, pure red fruit and tannins that feel fine rather than forceful.
The extended élevage gives those different parcels even more time to come together, creating a wine that feels seamless, composed and beautifully representative of the village.
Technical Details
Made entirely from Pinot Noir, with the fruit fully destemmed before fermentation.
Pierrick works with gentle extraction, allowing the perfume and natural delicacy of Volnay to remain at the centre of the wine. No sulphur is added during vinification, with only a minimal addition later before bottling.
This special parcel was held back for an additional 12 months after the standard 2023 release, resulting in 24 months of élevage in total.

Clear details, so you can buy with confidence
Is this wine ready to drink now?
Yes. This is ready to drink now, but a little patience could make it even more rewarding. Open one soon, then tuck another away if you want to watch it develop.

Fast. We ship every wine on a next-working-day service and dispatch Monday to Friday. At checkout, you can even choose a delivery day that suits you.
How is it packed?
Each bottle is wrapped in tissue before being carefully placed into our specially imported Italian boxes, tested to rigorous standards. We have literally dropped them from the first storey of our house. All our packaging is paper-based and recyclable.
Can I send it as a gift?
Absolutely. As standard, our wines arrive wrapped in bespoke tissue paper. At checkout, you can also add gift bags, gift boxes and notes.
