This is a special release of Pierrick Bouley’s 2023 Bourgogne Côte d’Or Vieilles Vignes. While the standard 2023 was bottled and released as normal, Pierrick held this parcel back for a further 12 months, giving it a full 24 months of élevage. The result is deeper, more polished and altogether more serious, with dark raspberry, lifted florals, bright acidity and beautiful length. Exclusive to Burgundy Wine Club in the UK.
Lifted and polished, with dark raspberry, ripe cherry, floral perfume, bright acidity and a silky finish.

Tasting Notes
Old-vine Pinot Noir from beneath Volnay and Pommard, packed with dark raspberry, perfume and serious depth.

Pierrick’s standard 2023 Bourgogne Côte d’Or was bottled and released as normal. But a small amount was kept back in the cellar for another full year.
That extra 12 months, taking the total élevage to 24 months, has transformed the wine into something far more complete and serious. Dark raspberry and ripe cherry are joined by lifted florals, fine tannins and beautifully integrated acidity, with greater depth and polish than the original release.
The fruit comes from old vines around Volnay and Pommard, bringing together Volnay’s perfume and finesse with Pommard’s darker fruit and structure.
Inside Burgundy awarded the original 2023 five stars and 90–91 points, describing it as “a coming of age.” This extended-élevage release takes that already brilliant wine even further.
A tiny special release, available exclusively from Burgundy Wine Club in the UK.

The Plot
Nearly half of Pierrick’s four hectares of Bourgogne vines sit directly below Volnay, with another large portion below Pommard and the remainder on the higher ground above Pommard.
That spread of vineyards gives the wine its balance. Volnay brings fragrance, elegance and fine red fruit, while Pommard adds darker fruit, depth and a little more structure.
These are Bourgogne-classified parcels, but their position beside two of the Côte de Beaune’s greatest villages gives the wine far more identity than the name on the label might suggest.
Technical Details
Made entirely from Pinot Noir, with the fruit fully destemmed before fermentation.
Pierrick works organically and uses gentle extraction to preserve freshness and perfume rather than chasing power. No sulphur is added during vinification, with only a minimal addition later before bottling.
