Volnay Premier Cru ‘Les Brouillards’
- Historic Premier Cru Les Brouillards with airy Volnay perfume
- Cherry, plum and black pepper, with silky, feather-light tannins
- 50% whole bunches; ceramic and oak maturation preserve purity

About this Wine
This Volnay doesn’t dazzle with volume — it seduces with detail. All red cherry, soft spice, and mineral poise, it’s light, lacy, and totally unfiltered. Bordering Pommard but floating on air, it’s a wine that tiptoes in — then totally takes over. Effortlessly elegant, it’s a dainty little daydream in a glass.
Floral and silky, with cherry, plum, black pepper, cloves and a mineral, lifted finish.
“Excellent wines from small producers which you can’t find elsewhere.”
Verified Trustpilot Review“The service has always been personal and excellent.”
Verified Trustpilot Review“Great wines, very reasonably priced, and customer service is excellent.”
Verified Trustpilot Review“Ben is super friendly, knowledgeable and takes time out to make sure you are assisted personally.”

Tasting Notes
Pretty as a spring breeze. Perfumed, pure, and oh so Volnay.

Ancient Vineyard. Pure Volnay Elegance & Complexity.
Delicate, fragrant and silky to the core, this is Volnay doing what Volnay does best — cherry fruit, lifted florals, a dusting of spice and not a single hair out of place. There's something almost ethereal about this wine: unfiltered, light on its feet, and strikingly pure. It may border the sturdier soils of Pommard, but here, it’s all elegance and ease. A wine that doesn’t push — it glides.

The Plot
Les Brouillards is a historic Premier Cru, first mentioned as early as 1261. Its name hints at the morning mists that often drift through this part of Volnay, just along the border with Pommard. Despite the location, the style stays firmly in the Volnay camp: airy, perfumed and poised.
Technical Details
Fermented using 50% whole bunches, this wine is all about lift, perfume, and silky flow. It was matured in equal parts ceramic and oak barrels, with no more than 20% new oak. Ceramic’s neutral character helps preserve the purity of the red fruit and floral aromatics, while gently supporting the wine’s feather-light tannins. The result is a beautifully transparent, elegant expression of Volnay — charming now, and with a few graceful years ahead of it too.

Discover Their Story
A.F. Gros is where two great Burgundy families, Gros and Parent come together.
Now led by siblings Caroline and Mathias Parent, this next-gen duo brings fresh energy to a legacy of precision.
From Bourgogne to Richebourg, every wine gets the same care: whole bunch ferments, ceramic ageing, and a quiet radicalism behind the classic style.
