Tasting Notes
Pretty Puligny aromatics, serious depth. Floral, concentrated and mineral, with superb focus and a wonderfully long finish.

The nose is immediately pretty and unmistakably Puligny, with white flowers, fresh-cut grass and bright citrus giving it a wonderfully lifted character.
There is considerably more weight waiting underneath. The palate is deep, rich and concentrated, with layers of ripe fruit building through the middle and giving the wine a generosity that belies its village classification.
Crucially, that richness never comes at the expense of precision. There is a firm Puligny structure beneath the fruit, with bright acidity and a distinct mineral undertow bringing everything back into focus. The wine tightens as it moves across the palate, finishing fresh, energetic and impressively long.
It’s a particularly compelling combination: beautifully floral on the nose, deep and concentrated on the palate, then focused and mineral through the finish.
A superb village Puligny with serious substance.

The Plot
Chavy farms two parcels here, totalling 0.64 ha, with old vines planted in 1948, 1950 and 1952. Soils are thin clay over limestone, giving the wines their lean, mineral edge. With only around 4,300 bottles made in a normal year, it’s a small but prized part of the domaine’s holdings.
Technical Details
Hand-harvested Chardonnay, whole-bunch pressed, fermented in tank, then finished in barrel. Aged 11 months in 228L oak (10–20% new), 16 months’ élevage in total.

Discover Their Story
A historic domaine in the heart of Puligny-Montrachet, crafting wines from some of the most legendary vineyards on earth.
The Chavy name rings out across Burgundy, synonymous with classically brilliant white wines. Philippe took the reins in 1990, inheriting Puligny parcels from his father (planted in the 1950s) and Meursault from his mother (going all the way back to 1932), with one of Saint-Aubin’s most iconic plots thrown into the mix.
