Bright even purple. Very light reduction here, also the stems come out very well. Lifted purple fruit, seems quite exotic and full of energy before refining back to greater elegance, and beautifully long. Could use a little more elegance but this is so fine and graceful. For interest, we also tried the same wine in a cigar shaped barrel, the idea being to keep the wine more in touch with its lees. It showed the oak more and the whole bunch effect less, with a greater intensity of red- and black-currant fruit, and a touch more acidity. Very interesting.

Clear details, so you can buy with confidence
Is this wine ready to drink now?
Yes. This is ready to drink now and should give plenty of pleasure straight away. Open it for its perfume, texture and charm rather than waiting for the perfect distant moment.
Should I buy one bottle or a few?
One to try, three if you want to follow it over time, six if you already know the producer or style. Burgundy moves quickly, and small parcels rarely hang around for long.

Fast. We ship every wine on a next-working-day service and dispatch Monday to Friday. At checkout, you can even choose a delivery day that suits you.
How is it packed?
Each bottle is wrapped in tissue before being carefully placed into our specially imported Italian boxes, tested to rigorous standards. We have literally dropped them from the first storey of our house. All our packaging is paper-based and recyclable.
Can I send it as a gift?
Absolutely. As standard, our wines arrive wrapped in bespoke tissue paper. At checkout, you can also add gift bags, gift boxes and notes.
