There’s wonderful finesse here, with a graceful structure and a gorgeous purity to the fruit. With 20% whole bunch fermentation and absolutely no new oak, this is a wonderfully refined expression of Chambolle-Musigny.

Tasting Notes
Three exceptional Chambolle parcels, 60-year-old vines and pure elegance. Beautiful red fruits, delicate spice and remarkable finess

Chambolle-Musigny has always been a village I adore for its ability to produce Pinot Noir of extraordinary elegance. And Adrien Guyon's 2024 is a rather lovely reminder of exactly why.
The fruit comes from three excellent parcels, Les Mal Carrées, Aux Maladières and Clos de l'Orme, the latter sitting immediately beside the celebrated Premier Cru Les Charmes. With vines averaging 60 years old, there's some seriously interesting material going into this village wine.
And the result is wonderful.
When we tasted this in February, the nose was still a little reserved, but there was already a beautiful sense of fresh red fruit beginning to emerge. Delicate raspberries, subtle darker berries and just a lovely suggestion of spice.
On the palate, the wine really begins to show its character. There's a gorgeous elegance to the fruit, accompanied by a delicate peppery quality and wonderfully fine structure. Everything feels beautifully measured, with freshness, depth and finesse working together rather than competing for attention.
Adrien has used 20% whole bunches in the fermentation, bringing another dimension to the wine, while the decision to use no new oak allows that beautiful Pinot Noir fruit to remain the star of the show.
It's already a remarkably elegant Chambolle, and I suspect there's even more to come as the wine settles into itself.
A beautiful wine from some genuinely exciting vineyards.

The Plot
This Chambolle-Musigny brings together three distinguished village parcels: Les Mal Carrées, Aux Maladières and Clos de l'Orme. The latter is particularly noteworthy, bordering the Premier Cru vineyard of Les Charmes.
The vines average approximately 60 years of age, growing across a fascinating combination of soils, including Bresse marls, salmon-coloured conglomerates and stony alluvial fan deposits. This geological diversity is one of the most intriguing aspects of the wine's origins, bringing together fruit from three distinct expressions of Chambolle's terroir.
Technical Details
Produced from 100% Pinot Noir, harvested entirely by hand. For the 2024 vintage, Adrien retains 20% whole bunches, with the remaining 80% of the fruit destemmed. Fermentation takes place using indigenous yeasts, with daily punch-downs (pigeage) and pump-overs (remontage) during an approximately three-week maceration. Following devatting, the wine undergoes 14 months of élevage in oak barrels, with no new oak used for this vintage.
