A quite gorgeous Bourgogne Chardonnay, combining the generosity of ripe fruit with wonderful precision. The nose is immediately inviting, with toasted lemon, fresh lime and delicate notes of peach. On the palate, there’s a lovely roundness and richness, beautifully balanced by vibrant acidity and a lingering, elegant finish. Matured exclusively in second and third-use oak barrels, with absolutely no new oak. A seriously delicious introduction to the domaine’s Chardonnay.

Tasting Notes
Beautifully toasted citrus, ripe peach and wonderful texture. Old-vine Chardonnay with richness, precision and finesse.

There's something wonderfully inviting about Adrien Guyon's 2024 Bourgogne Chardonnay. From the moment you put your nose into the glass, you're greeted by this gorgeous toasted character, with notes of lightly charred lemon, fresh lime and ripe peach.
It's a beautiful introduction to the wine, but the palate is where things become particularly interesting.
There's a lovely generosity here. The fruit is ripe and expressive, with a rounded, almost creamy texture that makes it incredibly enjoyable. Yet underneath that richness sits a wonderful sense of precision, with fresh citrus acidity bringing everything together.
What I particularly admire is the handling of the oak. Adrien uses only barrels that have already held two or three wines, introducing absolutely no new oak. The result is a beautifully integrated toasted character that complements the Chardonnay rather than dominating it.
It's a wine that manages to feel both generous and remarkably elegant. Beautifully balanced, full of character and, quite simply, absolutely delicious.

The Plot
40-year-old vines in Chambolle-Musigny, from the plot Aux Graviers. The clay-rich soils and mature vines provide the foundations for a Chardonnay with lovely natural depth and character.
Technical Details
The Chardonnay grapes are harvested entirely by hand, with the family involved in picking. Following pressing, the must undergoes two rounds of settling (débourbage) to remove suspended solids before alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats, using only indigenous yeasts naturally present on the grapes and in the winery. Malolactic fermentation then takes place in oak barrels, contributing to the wine's rounded texture. For the 2024 vintage, Adrien has chosen to use exclusively second and third-use oak barrels, with no new oak, allowing the fruit to remain expressive while developing a beautifully integrated toasted character.
