The big one. A supremely powerful Richebourg with an incredibly complex nose of cherry, blackberry, liquorice, black pepper and dark spice. There is an abundance of fruit here, but also remarkable balance and precision, with half the élevage in ceramic helping preserve freshness and purity. Huge in scale, yet never crude.
Floral and lifted, with cherry, blackberry, black pepper, liquorice and a precise mineral edge.

Tasting Notes
Monumental yet refined Richebourg, packed with cherry, blackberry, liquorice, pepper and extraordinary depth.

This is the powerhouse of the cellar. The nose is extraordinarily complex, with layers of cherry, blackberry, liquorice, black pepper and dark spice unfolding slowly in the glass. On the palate, there is an enormous depth of fruit and serious structure, but everything feels beautifully controlled.
It is a supremely powerful wine, yet the fruit remains pure and the finish precise. Half the élevage takes place in ceramic, helping preserve freshness and transparency beneath all that scale.
Richebourg doing exactly what Richebourg should: immense, complex and impossible to ignore.

The Plot
The domaine's Richebourg comes from vines planted across several generations, including parcels now more than 70 years old, alongside younger 15 and 25-year-old vines.
Richebourg sits among the absolute summit of Vosne-Romanée, renowned for combining enormous natural power with perfume, complexity and longevity. Few vineyards in Burgundy deliver quite the same combination of scale and refinement.
Technical Details
Vinification is deliberately gentle, with minimal extraction, followed by ageing split between ceramic vessels and oak. Around half the wine is raised in ceramic, helping retain purity, freshness and definition while allowing the natural power of Richebourg to remain front and centre.

Discover Their Story
A.F. Gros is where two great Burgundy families, Gros and Parent come together.
Now led by siblings Caroline and Mathias Parent, this next-gen duo brings fresh energy to a legacy of precision.
From Bourgogne to Richebourg, every wine gets the same care: whole bunch ferments, ceramic ageing, and a quiet radicalism behind the classic style.
Our Take
“Grandest of Grand Cru's. Vosne-Romanée Elegance. A. F. Gros Signature.”

Verified ReviewerFAQs
Clear details, so you can buy with confidence
Is this wine ready to drink now?
This will benefit from time in the cellar. You can open it now if you enjoy youthful energy, but patience should bring more depth, harmony and complexity.
Should I buy one bottle or a few?
One to try, three if you want to follow it over time, six if you already know the producer or style. Burgundy moves quickly, and small parcels rarely hang around for long.
What if I’m not sure this is my style?
Use our live chat, or pop us an email. We specialise in Burgundy and are always happy to help. Our tasting notes are based on wines tasted by our founders and updated regularly, so you can buy with proper confidence.
How quickly will it arrive?
Fast. We ship every wine on a next-working-day service and dispatch Monday to Friday. At checkout, you can even choose a delivery day that suits you.
How is it packed?
Each bottle is wrapped in tissue before being carefully placed into our specially imported Italian boxes, tested to rigorous standards. We have literally dropped them from the first storey of our house. All our packaging is paper-based and recyclable.
Can I send it as a gift?
Absolutely. As standard, our wines arrive wrapped in bespoke tissue paper. At checkout, you can also add gift bags, gift boxes and notes.
