About this Wine
A six-bottle case for anyone who wants red Burgundy at its most charming: bright red fruit, silky texture, fine tannins, soft spice and just enough structure to keep things interesting. It moves from the juicy, fragrant Bourgogne Pinots of Modot-Guyon, through the lifted freshness of Domaine A. F. Gros and the deeper savoury pull of Pierre Mayeul’s Gevrey-Chambertin, before landing on Pierrick Bouley’s elegant Passtoutgrain.
Silky and perfumed, with bright cherry, wild strawberry, soft spice and a fresh, poised finish.

Tasting Notes
A red-fruited Burgundy case with Volnay silk, Gevrey depth, Saint-Romain lift and two brilliant Bourgogne Pinots.
This is red Burgundy built for drinking rather than overthinking. Expect red cherry, raspberry, wild strawberry and gentle savoury spice, with that unmistakable combination of freshness, perfume and silky texture that makes Burgundy so difficult to put down. There’s the elegance of Chambolle and Volnay, a little more depth from Gevrey, and plenty of bright, easy-going fruit from the regional wines underneath.
The Line-Up
The Bourgogne Pinot Noir gets things started with pure, juicy red fruit and an easy charm, while the Bourgogne Passetoutgrain brings a brighter, more playful side of Burgundy, fresh, lively and made for generous glasses. Côteaux Bourguignon ‘Aux Batailles’ keeps that energy going with plenty of fruit and an effortlessly drinkable character.
Then we move up through the villages. Gevrey-Chambertin brings more depth, structure and savoury Côte de Nuits character, while Volnay turns things towards perfume, finesse and wonderfully fine texture. Chambolle-Musigny provides the final flourish, all fragrance, elegance and silky red fruit, showing exactly why this little corner of the Côte de Nuits has such a devoted following.
This is a case that takes you from Burgundy’s brilliantly drinkable regional wines straight into three of its most famous villages. Six different expressions, plenty of Pinot-fuelled pleasure, and very little reason to leave any of them sitting unopened for too long.
