Tasting Notes
Rich, buttery Meursault with creamy stone fruit, white flowers and the poise of one of the village’s great vineyards.
Les Narvaux is one of those Meursault vineyards that seems to deliver everything people fall in love with about the village, and the 2023 is gloriously expressive.
This is rich, broad and beautifully creamy, with ripe peach and nectarine wrapped in layers of butter and soft pastry. There’s a real sense of generosity through the middle, but it never becomes heavy. Pretty white flowers lift the nose, while a fine mineral freshness underneath gives the wine shape and poise.
As it opens, that creamy texture becomes even more seductive. Ripe stone fruit, melted butter and delicate blossom all seem to fold into one another, with just enough freshness through the finish to keep you coming back.
A wonderfully luxurious Narvaux, combining the richness you want from great Meursault with real elegance.

The Plot
Les Narvaux is one of Meursault’s most celebrated village lieux-dits, sitting high on the slope above the village.
Philippe’s vines are in Les Narvaux Dessous, immediately above Premier Cru Les Genevrières, with holdings of Domaine des Comtes Lafon alongside. His parcel was planted in 1957, giving him old vines in one of the appellation’s most highly regarded village terroirs.
Narvaux has a reputation for producing Meursault with unusual depth and stature for its classification, combining concentration and richness with the freshness and mineral definition that keeps the wines beautifully poised.
Technical Details
Hand-harvested Chardonnay from Philippe Chavy’s old-vine parcel in Les Narvaux Dessous.
Whole-bunch pressed and fermented before completing malolactic fermentation in barrel. The wine is matured in 228L oak barrels, building the broad, creamy texture that suits the richness of the 2023 vintage so beautifully.

Discover Their Story
A historic domaine in the heart of Puligny-Montrachet, crafting wines from some of the most legendary vineyards on earth.
The Chavy name rings out across Burgundy, synonymous with classically brilliant white wines. Philippe took the reins in 1990, inheriting Puligny parcels from his father (planted in the 1950s) and Meursault from his mother (going all the way back to 1932), with one of Saint-Aubin’s most iconic plots thrown into the mix.
