‘Le Noyer’ Savagnin
- Old-vine Savagnin from 1922-planted vines in Le Noyer, Rotalier
- Crystalline, saline and finely smoky, with lime and citrus oil
- Whole-bunch pressed and barrel-fermented for precision and depth

About this Wine
From the same Le Noyer site in Rotalier as the Chardonnay, but from vines planted in 1922, this is Savagnin on another level. Deeper, more composed, and more precise, with a crystalline structure and a quiet intensity that only old vines can deliver.
Restrained and mineral, with lime, citrus oil, gentle smokiness, a saline edge, and taut linear acidity.
“Excellent wines from small producers which you can’t find elsewhere.”
Verified Trustpilot Review“The service has always been personal and excellent.”
Verified Trustpilot Review“Great wines, very reasonably priced, and customer service is excellent.”

Tasting Notes
104-year-old vines. Jura Savagnin at its most precise, most complete, and most quietly powerful.

Same Plot. Older Vines. A Different Depth.
Same place, different voice. Le Noyer in Rotalier, rooted in limestone, clay, and blue marl. But here, the vines were planted in 1922. Over a century old. Roots that reach deeper, pulling something quieter, more profound from the soil.
The nose is restrained at first, then slowly unfolds. Lime, citrus oil, a fine mineral thread, all wrapped in a gentle smokiness. There’s a calm intensity to it. Nothing rushed. Everything considered.
On the palate, it sharpens into something almost architectural. Chiselled, crystalline, perfectly defined. The fruit sits tightly within the structure, framed by a saline edge and a long, linear acidity. There’s power here, but it’s delivered with control and precision.
This feels complete. The kind of wine that doesn’t need to prove anything.

The Plot
Le Noyer lies in Rotalier in the Jura, on limestone, clay, and blue marl soils that naturally drive tension and salinity. This cuvée comes from vines planted in 1922, now over 100 years old. With such deep root systems, the vineyard delivers fruit of remarkable concentration, precision, and quiet intensity.
Technical Details
100% Savagnin from organically farmed vines planted in 1922 in Rotalier in the Jura, rooted in limestone, clay, and blue marl. Although grown in Jura, the wine is made in Meursault and bottled as Vin de France, allowing complete freedom in style.
In the cellar, the approach remains unchanged. Whole bunches are pressed long and firmly to extract maximum lees, with controlled oxidation only at this early stage. Fermentation takes place in custom 456-litre barrels for both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, keeping oak influence subtle and the focus on the vineyard. From pressing to bottling, the wine is protected with nitrogen, preserving its tension, energy, and precise, linear profile.

Discover Their Story
The story begins in 2017. At just eighteen years old, Pierre-Vincent Girardin founded his own domaine, working with a handful of exceptional vineyard parcels retained from his family’s historic holdings.
Raised in Meursault and shaped by generations of Burgundian winemaking, he works organically in the vineyards and has rapidly forged a style defined by purity, precision and energy. Already being compared to Coche-Dury & Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey, from the first taste, it’s clear why.
