Vinelights
A Bourgogne with depth, drive and a Chambolle spirit
Don’t let the label fool you. This might be a Bourgogne, but it’s got layers. A blend of ten plots of old Pinot vines around Gilly-lès-Cîteaux, Adrien-Guyon’s 2023 is silky, lifted and quietly structured. There’s cherry and raspberry fruit right up front, but also a whisper of cedar and clove from 14 months in barrel, 30% of it new. It’s smooth and charming now, but will stretch out beautifully with a bit of patience.
📍 The Plot
This wine brings together fruit from around ten small plots of Pinot Noir vines, all around 60 years old, on the clay soils of Gilly-lès-Cîteaux. The area lies just across from Chambolle-Musigny, where Adrien-Guyon’s family once ran a prestigious Domaine until 2004. He brought it back to life in 2023—and this Bourgogne shows just how much he’s inherited. Classic, composed, and quietly confident.
