Tasting Notes
Bourgogne in name, Puligny in spirit. Bright, elegant, utterly delicious. A baby Puligny if there ever was one.

The Secret Weapon of th e Cellar
This is where Chavy shows his genius: taking humble Bourgogne Chardonnay and giving it Puligny-like finesse. The 2023 brims with green apple, lemon, and lime, wrapped in a suave, silky texture. A touch of brioche and coconut lifts the finish, leaving you with a smile (and probably an empty glass). At the price, it’s one of the greatest values in Burgundy.

The Plot
A blend of three Puligny parcels – L’Ormeau, Femelottes and Les Bergerie – covering 1.4 hectares. Vines span decades, with plantings back to 1959 bringing extra depth and character. Clay-limestone soils and hand harvesting ensure purity, while stainless steel fermentations and 11 months in seasoned oak barrels keep the fruit crisp, vibrant and mineral-driven.
Technical Details
Whole bunch pressed, fermented in tank, and finished in older 228L barrels (5–10 years old). Aged 16 months in total, bottled after racking and blending in stainless steel.

Discover Their Story
A historic domaine in the heart of Puligny-Montrachet, crafting wines from some of the most legendary vineyards on earth.
The Chavy name rings out across Burgundy, synonymous with classically brilliant white wines. Philippe took the reins in 1990, inheriting Puligny parcels from his father (planted in the 1950s) and Meursault from his mother (going all the way back to 1932), with one of Saint-Aubin’s most iconic plots thrown into the mix.
Our Take
An exceptional wine, representing exceptional value which is ready to open and enjoy right away. Average vine age of 65 years old, and all of that concentration shows. It punches well above it's appellation, a baby Puligny-Montrachet if there ever was one.

Verified Trustpilot ReviewFAQs
Clear details, so you can buy with confidence
Is this wine ready to drink now?
Yes. This is ready to drink now and should give plenty of pleasure straight away. Open it for its perfume, texture and charm rather than waiting for the perfect distant moment.
Should I buy one bottle or a few?
One to try, three if you want to follow it over time, six if you already know the producer or style. Burgundy moves quickly, and small parcels rarely hang around for long.

How quickly will it arrive?
Fast. We ship every wine on a next-working-day service and dispatch Monday to Friday. At checkout, you can even choose a delivery day that suits you.
How is it packed?
Each bottle is wrapped in tissue before being carefully placed into our specially imported Italian boxes, tested to rigorous standards. We have literally dropped them from the first storey of our house. All our packaging is paper-based and recyclable.
Can I send it as a gift?
Absolutely. As standard, our wines arrive wrapped in bespoke tissue paper. At checkout, you can also add gift bags, gift boxes and notes.
