Ladoix Blanc might not be on every Chardonnay lover’s radar—but it should be. This 2022 vintage starts with a flicker of reduction (that’s wine-nerd speak for flinty freshness), then blossoms into something truly special: zesty lime and lemon wrapped in soft creaminess and a lick of minerality.
The balance is spot-on. There’s energy and crunch, but also enough softness to round things out. Think Meursault but with a bit more zip. No heavy-handed oak here—just gentle texture and that Côte de Beaune citrus twang that keeps you reaching for another glass.
“Delicious” really doesn’t cover it.
📍 The Plot
Ladoix lies at the northern edge of the Côte de Beaune, right where things start to shift into Corton territory. These Chardonnay vines benefit from the same flinty, limestone-rich soils as their Grand Cru neighbours—giving the wine lift, tension, and that classic Beaune bite. A wine with serious pedigree hiding in plain sight.
