Jérémy Arnaud’s 2023 Chablis Sous le Parc opens from the glass with aromas of orange oil, sandalwood, pear and toasted bread, accented by a hint of Madagascar vanilla. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied, ample and generous, underpinned by ripe acidity and concluding with a tangerine-inflected finish. It appears to be a slightly softer rendition than the 2022. As readers will recall, the wine derives from a parcel of young vines planted just below the Château de Béru, at the lower edge of the village on a west-facing slope, and—like the rest of the domaine’s 2023s—it spent its first year in wood before finishing élevage in tank.
About this Wine
An indulgent glass of Chablis, full of luscious pear and sun-ripened citrus, with delicate touches of toast and vanilla. Generous fruit fills the palate, while a mouthwatering orange tang makes the finish deliciously moreish. One to open when you fancy treating yourself properly.

Tasting Notes
Luscious pear, golden citrus and a kiss of toast. Generous Chablis to savour right down to the last drop.

Juicy pear, fragrant citrus and that tempting first hint of toast: there’s plenty here to draw you into the glass. The palate is wonderfully generous, with ample fruit and a delicate touch of vanilla adding to the pleasure. Then comes the citrus freshness, lifting each mouthful and leaving a lingering taste of orange. A sumptuous expression of Chablis that deserves a good glass, a leisurely evening and your favourite company.

The Plot
A small parcel tucked below the village of Béru, on the right bank of the Serein. Planted in 2019, the Chardonnay vines occupy the lower part of a southwest-facing slope, in poor, stony clay-limestone soils over Kimmeridgian bedrock. The plot can produce up to just 1,800 bottles per vintage: a little corner of Chablis well worth getting to know.
Technical Details
Hand-harvested Chardonnay, fermented in barrel with indigenous yeasts. The wine spends 12 months in oak followed by 12 months in stainless steel, with extended time on its lees.

Discover Their Story
Jérémy Arnaud’s ascent toward Chablis cult status traces back to 1990, when his father planted the family’s first solitary hectare.
Jérémy stepped in with just half a hectare of his own in 2017, and his holdings have since multiplied tenfold, mirroring the speed and certainty of his rise. He stands at the vanguard of a new Chablis generation, rejecting pesticides, harvesting by hand, and ageing in true wooden barrels to craft wines with striking texture, tension and depth.
