An even more floral-suffused nose is comprised by notes of kirsch, maraschino cherry and discreet earth nuances. The cool, vibrant and super-sleek, if not especially dense, flavors possess excellent cut and a more subtle bead of minerality that adds to the appeal of the powerful, long and firm finale. At least moderate patience is advised.
About this Wine
A beautifully perfumed Pommard, full of ripe cherry, blackcurrant and lifted floral notes. Les Chanlins sits close to Volnay, and that proximity shows in the wine’s elegance and aromatic detail, while the palate retains the depth and presence of Pommard. Aged entirely in ceramic, it is remarkably pure, transparent and precise.
Floral and elegant, with cherry, blackcurrant, black pepper, redcurrant and a mineral thread wrapped in silky texture.

Tasting Notes
Transparent, perfumed Pommard from beside Volnay, packed with cherry, blackcurrant and fine floral detail.

One of the standout wines of the 2024 range.
There is an abundance of cherry here, with floral lift and a beautifully complex thread of blackcurrant underneath. Its proximity to Volnay shows clearly in the perfume and elegance, while the palate still has the depth and authority you expect from Pommard.
Aged entirely in a small ceramic vessel, the wine has remarkable transparency and purity. Delicious already, and something of a flag bearer for what modern Pommard can be.
