NO-NONSENSE NOTES.

This is Monthélie with a twinkle in its eye. From young vines next door to the Premier Cru Les Clous, it’s all juicy red fruit, rose petals, and a little spice. Light on its feet but far from simple, it’s the kind of Pinot that makes you want to cancel plans and open another bottle. Pierrick’s touch keeps it elegant, expressive—and just straight-up delicious.

Premier Cru Neighbour. Elegance Bottled.

This wine comes from the lower section of Aux Fournereaux, a vineyard in Monthélie that borders the famed Premier Cru Les Clous. These vines are young—only a few years old—and Pierrick Bouley gives them their own space in the cellar. The result is a wine that’s light on its feet but still grounded: red fruit, floral lift, silky texture, and a little snap of tannin to hold it all together.

Fermented without sulfur, aged gently in barrel for 12 months, and bottled without filtration, this is as pure as Pinot gets.

📍 The Plot

South–southeast exposure on red clay and marl over gravelly limestone. Bordering Les Clous Premier Cru Cru, on the lower slope of Aux Fournereaux. Young vines give lift and crunch.

🍇 Technical

100% Pinot Noir. Manual harvest. Cold maceration 5 days at 8°C. Gentle extraction: 3 punch-downs, mostly pumpovers. Aged 12 months in neutral barrels. No new oak. Light SO₂ before bottling. 1,500 bottles produced.

Domaine Pierrick Bouley farms 41 micro-parcels around Volnay, many with vines nearing 90 years old.

Since taking over in 2014, Pierrick has gone all in on organics and low-intervention winemaking.

No additives, no sulphur, just old vines, wild ferments, and pure patience.

A new take on a family tradition that dates back to the 1850s.

BORING WINE? BURGUNDY WINE!

Where legends are bottled A legacy in every glass Because 'Burgundy' sounds better than 'Boring-undy'! Where monks mastered the vine

Ah, Burgundy! The land where wine isn’t just fermented grape juice—it’s a full-blown personality in a bottle. Every sip of Burgundy feels like a direct line to the rolling hills, ancient cellars, and ridiculously proud winemakers who’ve spent centuries perfecting their craft. It’s not about flashy labels or trendy blends. Oh no, Burgundy is pure terroir—each bottle a postcard from its vineyard, whispering tales of limestone soils and meticulous care.

And individuality? Burgundy’s got it in spades. No two bottles are the same, thanks to its absurdly detailed patchwork of vineyards. One minute, you’re savouring a voluptuous, velvety Pinot Noir, the next, a steely, complex Chardonnay.

It’s not just wine; it’s a sense of place in a glass, a celebration of imperfection and authenticity. Burgundy wines don’t try to please everyone—they just quietly blow your mind. Welcome to the club.
