The Bottle That Hooked Us. Pinot at Its Most Charming. Serious Crush Potential.

This Bourgogne Côte d’Or Pinot Noir blends fruit from three sites at the base of the Volnay slope—Long Bois, Petit Pré, and Croc Martin. South and southeast-facing with fine clay-limestone soils, these plots offer all the elegance and lift you’d expect from top-tier Côte d’Or Pinot.

The fruit is sorted by hand, fermented without sulfur, and aged for 12 months in barrel before bottling. The result? Silky, pure Pinot with red berry charm, floral lift, and a mineral line that hums beneath the surface. Easy to enjoy, hard to forget.

📍 The Plot

South/southeast slopes below Volnay. Clay-limestone soils. Gentle ripeness, fine tannins, and great natural balance.

🍇 Technical

100% Pinot Noir. Manual harvest. Fermented without sulfur. Aged 12 months in barrel. 10% New French Oak.

Vineyard Bourgogne

Regional Appellation

6,694 Acres Farmed

Bourgogne, the broadest appellation in Burgundy, offers a diverse introduction to the region’s rich winemaking heritage. Spanning a wide range of terroirs, from the rolling hills of the Côte d'Or to the cooler northern vineyards, Bourgogne produces both red and white wines, with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay at the forefront. The reds are characterised by fresh red fruit flavours, smooth tannins, and earthy undertones, while the whites are marked by bright acidity, crisp minerality, and notes of citrus and green apple.

The wines from Bourgogne come from vineyards with varying soil types, including limestone, clay, and marl, which help to express a true sense of place. Burgundy’s temperate climate, with a balance of sun and rain, allows the grapes to ripen slowly, resulting in wines with both freshness and complexity. The region’s varied terroirs and microclimates contribute to a fascinating range of wine styles, making Bourgogne an ideal starting point for exploring the diversity of Burgundy’s wines.

With a long history at the heart of Burgundy’s winemaking tradition, Bourgogne wines are often the first step on a Burgundy journey. These wines offer approachable yet authentic expressions of the region’s key varietals, providing excellent value while showcasing Burgundy’s terroir. Whether for newcomers or seasoned wine enthusiasts, Bourgogne wines are a perfect introduction to the complexity and charm of the region.

The Bourgogne appellation embodies the essence of Burgundy, where passion, tradition, and craftsmanship come together to create wines that are both accessible and full of character. Whether enjoyed young or with some bottle age, Bourgogne wines offer a true taste of the region’s celebrated winemaking culture.

Vineyard Bourgogne Côte d’Or

Vineyard Bourgogne Côte d’Or

Regional Appellation

842 Acres Farmed

The Bourgogne Côte d'Or is a newly established regional classification that celebrates the unique terroir of Burgundy’s most famous wine-producing region. This appellation encompasses the renowned vineyards of both the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune, offering wines that represent the diversity and exceptional quality of the region. While the wines are still crafted from the same prestigious vineyards, the broader Bourgogne Côte d'Or classification provides a more inclusive representation of the area’s winemaking prowess, showcasing its wide range of styles and expressions.

Spanning from the northern Côte de Nuits, home to iconic Pinot Noir villages like Gevrey-Chambertin and Nuits-Saint-Georges, to the southern Côte de Beaune, celebrated for its Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, and Volnay, the Bourgogne Côte d'Or appellation brings together the best of both sub-regions. The reds range from the structured, elegant Pinot Noirs of the north to the more fruit-forward, complex examples from the south, while the whites showcase the minerality and depth of Chardonnay and Aligoté, all grown in the limestone-rich soils of this legendary region.

This classification also serves as a recognition of wines that may not fall under specific appellations like Meursault or Nuits-Saint-Georges, but still embody the exceptional terroir and winemaking tradition of the Côte d'Or. Bourgogne Côte d'Or wines offer an accessible introduction to the region, making it easier for wine enthusiasts to explore the wines of Burgundy while still experiencing the quality and craftsmanship the region is known for. These wines are a testament to Burgundy’s rich winemaking history and its ability to produce wines of extraordinary character.
