Where Power Meets Precision
This is where things sharpen. Just pure Côte de Beaune, and some of its most compelling white terroirs.
Meursault brings the weight. Not heaviness, but presence. Le Cromin and Le Limozin show that classic textural build, generous but controlled, always carried by a fine line of freshness. Then Perrières steps in. More focused, more chiselled, a wine that feels like it’s been carved rather than made.
Chassagne shifts the tone. Less about width, more about direction. Les Chênes is bright and lifted, while Les Vignes Blanches adds depth without losing its line. And then La Romanée. A Premier Cru that doesn’t shout, but doesn’t need to. There’s a quiet authority here. Everything in place, nothing forced.
Across all six bottles, the signature remains. Clarity, restraint, and that unmistakable Girardin tension. Wines that don’t push. They unfold.
The Plot
This case draws from two of Burgundy’s most iconic white wine villages. Meursault, known for its marl-rich soils, delivers wines of depth, texture, and layered richness. Sites like Perrières are prized for their stony, mineral character, often producing the most precise and age-worthy expressions of the village.
Chassagne-Montrachet brings a slightly different energy. More limestone-driven, often more linear, with Premier Crus like Les Vignes Blanches and La Romanée offering a balance of tension and quiet power. Together, these sites form a complete picture of the Côte de Beaune’s white wine identity.
Technical
The vineyards are farmed under organic and biodynamic principles, with hand harvesting ensuring only the best fruit reaches the cellar. Fermentations are natural, and élevage is carefully judged to support, not dominate, the wines.
A mix of vessels is used, including oak with restrained new wood, allowing each site to express itself clearly. The aim is not richness for its own sake, but balance. Precision, energy, and structure that will carry these wines forward over time.
