Tasting Notes
Village Meursault that drinks like Premier Cru.

Depth, Precision, and a Touch of Unfairness.
Set directly beneath Genevrières Premier Cru and bordering Charmes Premier Cru, Le Limozin sits in one of the most sought-after parts of Meursault. You feel it straight away.
The nose rises slowly, then all at once. Poached citrus, lemon oil, buttered popcorn, a touch of white pepper, all wrapped in a fine, smoky reduction. It builds, layer by layer.
Then the palate arrives, and everything expands.
There is depth here that feels almost unfair. Vines over half a century old, pulling layer after layer of fruit from the soil. Rich and generous, yet held perfectly in line by a mineral spine that keeps everything precise. It moves between power and control without ever losing balance.
You could place this as Premier Cru without hesitation.
Every time this leaves the cellar, it’ll hurt a little.

The Plot
Le Limozin lies in a prime position in Meursault, directly beneath Genevrières Premier Cru and bordering Charmes Premier Cru. This highly regarded pocket is known for producing wines with both generosity and structure, combining the richness of Meursault with a strong mineral backbone. The vines, over 50 years old, contribute additional depth and concentration.
Technical Details
100% Chardonnay from the Le Limozin parcel in Meursault, sourced from vines over 50 years old and planted on classic clay-limestone soils in one of the village’s most prized locations.
In the cellar, the approach follows the domaine’s signature style. Whole bunches are pressed long and firmly to extract maximum lees, with controlled oxidation only at this early stage. Fermentation takes place in custom 456-litre barrels for both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, limiting oak influence and allowing the vineyard to lead. From pressing to bottling, the wine is protected with nitrogen, preserving its balance of richness, tension, and precision.

Discover Their Story
The story begins in 2017. At just eighteen years old, Pierre-Vincent Girardin founded his own domaine, working with a handful of exceptional vineyard parcels retained from his family’s historic holdings.
Raised in Meursault and shaped by generations of Burgundian winemaking, he works organically in the vineyards and has rapidly forged a style defined by purity, precision and energy. Already being compared to Coche-Dury & Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey, from the first taste, it’s clear why.
Why It Matters
The details that tell the story
