Vinelights
Benchmark Saint-Romain. 4th Generation Vignerons. Michelin restaurant favourite.
From the first pour, this Saint-Romain is all about vibrancy. Deep red with purple highlights, it bursts with juicy cherry and wild strawberry, while silky tannins and fresh acidity keep everything in check. There’s a hint of spice, a whisper of oak, and a finish so lively it practically does a victory lap. Juicy, structured, and dangerously drinkable—this is old-vine power at its finest.
📍 The Name
‘Vielles Vignes’ means old vines—45 to 55 years old, to be precise. And with age comes character. These deep-rooted vines bring concentration, complexity, and a level of richness that sets this wine apart.
🍇 Technical
20% whole-cluster fermentation brings extra freshness and bite, while a 12- to 15-day maceration ensures maximum color and structure. Gentle pressing, daily pump-overs, and precise temperature control bring balance, while 12 months in oak (15% new) adds just the right touch of spice. Hand-harvested, meticulously sorted, and aged to perfection—this is Saint-Romain with serious pedigree.
