Vinelights
Bourgogne in Name, Fixin in Spirit. Just 1,000 Bottles.
This floral, flinty Chardonnay hails from Ravry (or Les Raury, depending on your map), a newly promoted plot now officially part of Fixin—just next door to where ‘Côté Jardin’ grows. And like its neighbour, this wine isn’t here to mess about.
Lemon zest, white blossom, and ripe pear lead the charge, backed by a creamy undercurrent and a finish so salty and mouthwatering it practically winks at you. It’s precise, poised, and packed with personality—a wine that whispers elegance but leaves a lasting impression.
📍 The Plot
‘Ravry’ lies in the north of Fixin, now newly classified within the village. With limestone scree at the top and generous clay below, it delivers both freshness and depth.
🍇 Technical
From 17-year-old vines. Hand-harvested. Long pneumatic press (2.5 hrs), 36-hour settling. Fermented and aged in stainless steel and 30% 600L demi-muids (of 2 wines). Aged 12 months on lees, lightly filtered. 1,000 bottles produced.
Look closely at the vineyard floor and you might spot a flash of blue: Speedwell. Known in French as Véronique, it’s a humble wildflower that thrives between the vines—symbolising life, renewal, and the quiet beauty of working with nature. It’s also the emblem of the Messager-Germain estate.
