- 1,000 bottles from Ravry in newly classified Fixin
- Silky, mouthwatering finish with a saline edge

About this Wine
If wines had personalities, this would be the understated genius. Quietly top of the class while everyone else is showing off. Officially it’s Bourgogne, but it just got promoted to Fixin Village, and it knows it. Floral and flinty on the nose, with pear, brioche and a hit of salinity on the finish. Cool, composed, and a total overachiever. One of the stars of the range, and an outrageous value.
Floral and flinty, with lemon zest, ripe pear, brioche, white blossom, and a mouthwatering saline finish.

Tasting Notes
Floral, flinty, and fabulously fresh—from a site just upgraded to Fixin. Get in early!

Bourgogne in Name, Fixin in Spirit. Just 1,000 Bottles.
This floral, flinty Chardonnay hails from Ravry (or Les Raury, depending on your map), a newly promoted plot now officially part of Fixin—just next door to where ‘Côté Jardin’ grows. And like its neighbour, this wine isn’t here to mess about.
Lemon zest, white blossom, and ripe pear lead the charge, backed by a creamy undercurrent and a finish so salty and mouthwatering it practically winks at you. It’s precise, poised, and packed with personality—a wine that whispers elegance but leaves a lasting impression.

The Plot
‘Ravry’ lies in the north of Fixin, now newly classified within the village. With limestone scree at the top and generous clay below, it delivers both freshness and depth.
Technical Details
From 17-year-old vines. Hand-harvested. Long pneumatic press (2.5 hrs), 36-hour settling. Fermented and aged in stainless steel and 30% 600L demi-muids (of 2 wines). Aged 12 months on lees, lightly filtered. 1,000 bottles produced.

Look closely at the vineyard floor and you might spot a flash of blue: Speedwell. Known in French as Véronique, it’s a humble wildflower that thrives between the vines—symbolising life, renewal, and the quiet beauty of working with nature. It’s also the emblem of the Messager-Germain estate.

Our Take
“Bourgogne in Name, Fixin in Spirit. Just 1,000 Bottles. Single Vineyard Source.”
Amongst my notes from the tasting, I’d scribbled just one word in all caps: “BEAUTIFUL!!!” Clearly, this one made an impression. Floral, elegant and a touch of salinity - just beautiful.
