Wine Details
Silky Texture, Citrus Lift, Mineral Depth
Vallée Clabory is expressive from the first swirl: pear, nectarine, beeswax and a hint of warm bread rising from the glass. On the palate it is supple and quietly powerful, its roundness balanced by tangy acidity and a mineral crunch. Everything feels seamless — the silky tannins, the gentle weight, the long, perfumed finish touched by salt and citrus. A deeper, more enveloping Chablis, yet still anchored in clarity.
The Plot
A 0.32-hectare south-facing parcel above Chichée, planted on deep, gravelly clay-limestone soils that encourage both texture and energy. Hand-harvested fruit, long élévage and naturally low yields make this one of Arnaud’s most limited and characterful village bottlings.
Technical
Hand-harvested Chardonnay from a south-facing site on deep gravel and clay-limestone. Natural fermentation, two years in 450–500 L barrels with around 20% new oak. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. Approx. 2,700 bottles produced.
