Discover their Story

Ex Nihilo

Founded by Morgane and Alban Desazars, this young house brings Champagne polish to Côte d’Or terroir. They may be recent arrivals, but their journey runs deep. Alban works directly in the vines, guiding the raw material from soil to cellar. Morgane brings sharp vision and precision. Together, they craft single-plot wines with patience, instinct, and a touch of daring – miniscule volumes, but big character.

High on Freshness

Le Mont is a wine born from altitude, its 350m plateau breathing coolness and clarity into every sip. Grapefruit zest and peach meet juicy melon, while honeysuckle glides through a chalky mineral line. It’s a Chardonnay with lift, light, and tension – bottled from just 3 barrels, totalling 900 bottles.

📍 The Plot

Perched on the old pastures above Nuits-Saint-Georges, this parcel sits at 350 metres on clay-limestone soils laced with Burgundy lava. The plateau’s winds and thin soils bring freshness and bite, making this a terroir that delivers both fruit and tension.

🍇 Technical

Manual harvest on September 22, with a gentle 3–4 hour press and natural settling by gravity. Fermentation was spontaneous with native yeasts. Ageing lasted 9 months, split between 60% oak barrels (20% new) and 40% stainless steel, bringing balance and finesse. Only 900 bottles made.

Vineyard Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits

1,890 Acres Farmed

Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits is a hidden gem of Burgundy, offering wines from higher-altitude vineyards above the celebrated Côte de Nuits. Known for their freshness and vibrancy, the red wines, primarily crafted from Pinot Noir, feature bright red fruit, floral undertones, and a subtle spiced earthiness. The whites, made from Chardonnay, are lively and mineral-driven, with crisp acidity and citrus notes.

Situated on hills and plateaus with cooler temperatures and extended growing seasons, the Hautes Côtes de Nuits vineyards produce wines with a distinct freshness and finesse. This unique terroir imparts a lighter, approachable style compared to the powerful wines of the Côte de Nuits below.

These wines provide exceptional value, making them an accessible entry point into the renowned Côte de Nuits region. Perfect for everyday enjoyment, they balance Burgundy’s hallmark elegance with drinkability and charm.

With a commitment to tradition and sustainable viticulture, Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits is steadily gaining recognition, appealing to those who seek quality wines with a sense of place and character.
